
WHAT IS THORAGRAFT
ThoraGraft is a biocompatible bone graft substitute (DBM & Synthetic) that promotes optimal healing and union of the sternum, offering structural support and encouraging natural bone growth. Its proven ability to integrate seamlessly with native bone tissue makes it an essential tool for surgeons seeking a superior union solution.
ThoraGraft is designed with a thick, fibrous bone matrix that allows the graft to help stabilize a fractured sternum and function as a fusion device. ThoraGraft works in combination with wire and plate constructs to immobilize the sternal wound by allowing the edges of the sternal halves to embed into the graft. By working with the tension of the wires, the graft helps hold the entire construct static, promoting compression and stability, which can aid healing while reducing patient pain and blood loss. ThoraGraft is composed of fibrous human demineralized bone (DBM) tissue, with a thickness of at least 4 mm and a length of 100 mm, designed to run the length of the sternum.
